Maria Socias is a medical illustrator and dedicated educator based in London, UK, driven by a passion for merging art and science to create compelling visual information. Her background includes a Fine Arts degree from the University of Barcelona, a Master’s in Drawing from London Metropolitan University, and a postgraduate certificate in Medical Art from the Medical Artists' Education Trust.

She strives in crafting intricate, beautiful illustrations that not only captivate but also educate. Recognized with several awards from the Medical Artists' Education Trust, her work reflects a deep commitment to clarity and accuracy in visual communication. She is passionate about transforming complex medical and scientific concepts into accessible, engaging art, helping to illuminate the wonders of science for everyone.
